# Tapescript > A voice recorder with transcription for iPhone and iPad: it records a class, a meeting or an interview and writes the full transcript, a summary, key points and action items, in over 60 languages. Tapescript is an iOS app made by Devjoy Ltd (https://devjoy.agency), a company registered in the United Kingdom. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later. Get it from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6759007314 ## What it does - Records lectures, meetings, interviews and voice notes on iPhone and iPad - Full transcript with the time of every line; tap a line to play from there - Summary, key points and action items (with owner and due day when one is said) for every recording - Over 60 languages, each written in its own script - Keeps recording when you switch apps, with a stop button in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen - Recordings up to 3 hours with Pro; 30 minutes on the free plan - Import audio or video files, or share voice memos from Voice Memos, Files and other apps - Search across every transcript, summary and action item - Share notes as PDF or plain text - No account; notes are saved in your own iCloud ## What it doesn't do - It doesn't label speakers: the transcript is one stream of text with times. - It doesn't join or capture video or phone calls; it records what the iPhone's microphone hears. A call recording saved as a file can be imported. - It needs an internet connection to write a note. A recording made without one waits on the phone until it's back online. - There is no Android or web version. ## Plans - Free: the first 3 recordings, up to 30 minutes each, with the full transcript and summary. - Pro: 1,200 minutes a month (about 20 hours), recordings up to 3 hours. $5.99 a month, or $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial (US prices; billed by Apple). ## Privacy Audio goes over an encrypted connection to Tapescript's servers, where Google's Gemini models write it down; each part is discarded once it's done and the audio is never stored. There are no accounts. Notes are saved in the user's own iCloud.
